Every year in the springtime, businesspeople from the Québec City and Montréal regions participate in Portage’s Table du chef events, which raise money for Portage's drug addiction rehabilitation centres for youth.
In Québec City, the event takes place at the Fairmont Château Frontenac and in Montréal, they take place at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and at Ferreira Café.
With the assistance of the restaurants' executive chefs, guests prepare a delicious gastronomic dinner in the hotel’s kitchens. The apprentice cooks are able to size up their culinary talent by sampling the meal they prepare.

The 17th edition of Portage’s Table du Chef at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, took place on March 23, 2016. $10,000 was raised for the youth drug addiction rehabilitation centre in Saint-Malachie.
The fourth edition of Portage’s Table du Chef at the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and the third edition of the event at Ferreira Café, together raised $20,000 for the youth drug addiction rehabilitation centre in Prévost.
